Job Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of meals according to standard recipes, ensuring portion control and minimizing waste.

  • Apply necessary precautions related to the hotel's food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Clean and maintain all equipment in the food production area.

  • Attend all briefings, meetings, and training sessions as assigned by management.

  • Support the kitchen team in various tasks, including food prep, plating, and kitchen organization.

  • Learn and practice proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.

  • Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.

  • Participate in menu development and recipe testing under chef supervision.

  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
  • Basic culinary training or education in a related field

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices

  • Basic knife skills and willingness to learn various kitchen techniques

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team

  • Good physical health and stamina to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

  • Strong communication skills in English

  • Eagerness to learn and positive attitude

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and consistency

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Basic math skills for recipe conversions and inventory management
